Founded by culinary artists Renee Bazerghi and Esther Norris, Table on Fire embraces a vision that is bold, theatrical, and deliciously unruly.. perhaps a touch wilder than most expect.

Esther grew up on New Zealand’s South Island and began her kitchen journey as a teenager, earning pocket money by cleaning mussels in the sun and learning to cook seafood straight from the ocean. During the COVID lockdown she returned to her true passion, immersing herself in recipe development and culinary experimentation. That period led to the founding of Lady Luna’s Kitchen and to six years working as a private chef, caterer, and festival kitchen lead. Esther’s love of dance and performance lead to often incorporating food into her performances, which evolved naturally into theatrical elements for her dinner events.

In an increasingly disconnected world, Esther seeks to invite people into slowness. Offering a refuge from noise where community, self-connection, and reverence for food can be rediscovered.

They have combined their passion for creating art with an ethos to awaken desire, stir awe, and enchant every sense through a choreography of ritual, artistry, and exquisite flavour.
